The best canvassing apps for roofing companies in 2026

What to look for in door-knocking software for a storm crew, and how the main options compare on price, setup and the features that actually stop wasted doors.

Who wrote this

We make LeadAlign, and we’re building it to be the best canvassing app available for roofing and storm crews. We’ve kept competitor details to what each company publishes, linked our sources, and said plainly where another tool fits better.

What a roofing crew actually needs from a canvassing app

Feature lists for this category run to dozens of lines. After a storm, five things matter more than the rest:

  1. Coverage you can see. The map should show which streets have been worked, not just where the leads are. Otherwise reps double up on the same blocks.
  2. Fast lead capture. One tap from the truck. Anything slower and reps stop using it by day three.
  3. Offline that really works. Hail and wind take down towers. Pins and routes have to save on the phone and sync later.
  4. Territories. A way to split a storm zone and keep reps inside their share.
  5. Seasonal pricing. Storm crews grow and shrink. Long contracts and upfront seats punish that.

1. LeadAlign

LeadAlign puts the whole crew on one live map. Each rep’s route is painted in their color as they drive, so a blank street means nobody has worked it. A single “Lead here” button drops a pin where the rep is standing. Managers watch it all on a live dashboard, draw territories with alerts, and turn selected leads into an optimized Google Maps route for closers.

Why it leads this list: it’s built from the ground up around painted street coverage, which is the feature that stops double-knocking, and it’s the simplest for a new rep to pick up. Everything saves on the phone first, so dead zones don’t lose leads. One plan, $29 a rep, month to month.

Keep in mind: LeadAlign is a canvassing map, not a CRM. There are no contracts, estimates or roof measurements. Leads export to CSV for whatever CRM you use.

2. SalesRabbit

SalesRabbit is a long-running door-to-door platform with lead management, gamification and add-ons for weather data, mover leads and digital contracts. Its RoofLink product adds roof measuring, inspections and estimates at $120 a user per month.

Keep in mind: its pricing page lists one- to three-year contracts, seats paid up front, and a required implementation package. That’s a big commitment for a seasonal crew. Full LeadAlign vs. SalesRabbit comparison.

3. SPOTIO

SPOTIO is a field sales platform with territory management, live team location, leaderboards, AI recommendations and deep reporting. It sells B2B, B2C and Custom plans by quote.

Keep in mind: no published pricing or free trial, and it’s designed for teams of five or more. Full LeadAlign vs. SPOTIO comparison.

4. RepCard

RepCard started with digital business cards and has grown into a broad “sales operating system” with recruiting, training, leaderboards, scheduling and marketing tools. It has a free tier and a low-cost personal plan.

Keep in mind: RepCard’s site lists canvassing as part of its Enterprise plan, which is custom-priced. It’s strongest if rep credibility and follow-up are your priority over the map.

5. Badger Maps

Badger Maps is a route planner for outside sales, with two-way CRM sync and routes up to 120 stops. Territory tools are add-ons or part of Enterprise Plus.

Keep in mind: it’s built for visiting known business accounts, not discovering new homeowners street by street. Full LeadAlign vs. Badger Maps comparison.

What about spreadsheets and paper maps?

Plenty of crews start there, and it works for two or three reps. Past that, double knocks and lost texts cost more than any app on this list. Here’s the math.

How to choose

Whatever you pick, run it on a real storm before you sign anything long. LeadAlign’s trial is 14 days with no card, which is enough for one full deployment.
